The Journal was first published in 1879 as the Derbyshire Archaeological and Natural History Society Journal and has been published every year since. The Natural History element was discontinued in 1960.
The Journal contains the final reports on Archaeological field work carried out in Derbyshire, usually by professional bodies, as well as some history articles.
The Journal is published annually in late Autumn and all members automatically receive it.
The Local History section publishes Miscellany twice a year and is available by a separate subscription to the Society. It currently costs £6 per annum and from 2019 it will be £8 per annum for members. (Back issues (except for the last 3 years) are available online at no cost by clicking the Miscellany buttons. *See STOP PRESS for latest.
Newsletters of the DAS are published in July and January. They contain details of past events, informal reports from members of the Society and other news items. Programme guides, which contain details of future events are also sent out in March and September. Copies of the most recent newsletters can be accessed online by clicking the Recent Newsletter button.
