    The format is a series of presentations on a wide range of topics, presented by archaeologists, historians and community groups. There are stalls hosted by archaeological organisations with opportunities to handle artefacts, and a fabulous bookshop selling general interest and academic books on all aspects of history, science, archaeology and conservation.

    The Day is hosted by the Peak District National Park, Derbyshire County Council and Chesterfield Borough Council and is open to all.

    ACID (Archaeology and Conservation in Derbyshire and the Peak District) is the long-running and popular heritage magazine which is launched every year at Derbyshire Archaeology Day.
