Anna Babcock (Cultural Heritage Manager with the Peak District National Park) will lead a walk to view remains of stone quarrying on Craken Edge, north of Chinley in High Peak. Stone was extracted on the surface and underground for roof slates and flags from the 16th to the 20th century. Remains include trackways, quarry faces, adit entrances, ruins of buildings and a winding house for a gravity worked railway incline.
