    In November 2022 a relic of St Chad, monk, abbot and Bishop of Mercia, was translated from St Chad’s Catholic Cathedral in Birmingham to Lichfield Cathedral where a new altar shrine had been constructed to receive it, on the site of its original medieval shrine. Robert Kilgour will discuss the intersection of architecture and spirituality in the work of designing the new Shrine of St Chad, and the work of the craftspeople involved in its creation. Robert is the Diocesan Architect of Derby, Hereford and Lichfield Cathedrals and Chair of the Cathedral Architects’ Association
